Dr. William Coulson -- (3 talk set)
Recently, the dean of a well known Catholic university apologized for remarks made in a commencement address by Francis Cardinal Arinze, the head of the Vatican's Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue.
In his speech, the African Cardinal dared to suggest that, "In many parts of the world, the family is under siege . . . scorned and banalized by pornography, desecrated by fornication and adultery, mocked by homosexuality, sabotaged by irregular unions, and cut in two by divorce."
What was the response to this very Catholic message from the audience of this "Catholic" University? Many in the audience walked out in protest! Teresa Sanders (a professor of theology!) left the stage during the Cardinal's speech.
Seventy other faculty members signed a letter to the dean protesting what they called Arinze's "wildly inappropriate" remarks. In response, the dean officially apologized for the Cardinal's words and the "hurt" they caused.
What could possibly be the cause for this mind-boggling reaction? The answer lies in this stunning three talk series by Dr. Coulson, a respected pioneer in modern education.
